The founding maker
Karen
She knits and crochets each of her pieces herself, at home in Robina.
Get in touch
About a piece you like, a size you need, or having something made.
How it works
No cart, no checkout, no account to set up. You send a message, one of us answers it, and together you sort out the size, the colour and when it can be ready.
The name from the shop page is enough. If you want it in a different colour or size, say so.
Every piece is one of a kind. If the one you liked has gone, she will tell you how long a new one takes.
By hand, by the maker herself. You will know when it is finished because she will tell you.
Who you are talking to
Karen knits and crochets the baby pieces. Her granddaughter Honey builds the nappy cakes, trikes and trains. Amanda makes the polymer-clay jewellery. Tia sews the memory bears. The two sons run everything around them. Any one of us will answer you.

The third generation
Karen’s granddaughter. She builds the nappy cakes and the trikes, every one to order. Tell her the baby’s name and the colours.
Family maker
Karen’s niece. Handmade polymer-clay jewellery and accessories — dangles, studs, keyrings and bag charms. No two pieces the same.
Family maker
Karen’s niece. Memory bears, sewn from your loved one’s clothing: shirts, dresses, baby clothes, uniforms and more.
Her eldest
Writes the books. Builds and runs the shop with his brother.
Her youngest
Writes his own book. Works on all of this with his brother, every day.
What we will not do
There is no newsletter and no mailing list. Message her about a cardigan and that is the end of it.
This site sets no cookies of its own and does not follow you anywhere. Visits are counted anonymously by its host.
You are talking to the family who made the thing, not a shop assistant and not a bot.
Where Karen is
Karen’s pieces are made in one house on the Gold Coast, and posted from there. The family came from the Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand, which is where the shop gets its name, but nothing ships from there.
No street address is published here. Ask Karen and she will tell you what you need for postage.
